Steve started the business in 2004 as a one-man operation with one excavator. Through hard work and determination, the business has continued to grow with more machines and more staff.
In 2008 the business became incorporated into the company Steve Magill Earthmoving Pty Ltd (SME).
Steve together with his wife Carolynn, who joined the business in 2008, have continued to develop, innovate and grow the company to what it is today.
We are proud of the solid reputation Steve Magill Earthmoving has been built on. This reputation was earned through honesty, integrity, and years of hard work, as well as SME's commitment to delivering the highest quality results on all their projects.

SME run a comprehensive IMS system fully certified to:
- AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System
- AS/NZS ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System
- AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System
SME are licensed and insured. Our workers are experienced and are fully qualified through national competency tickets, white cards and appropriate licences.
